The desk is mess... as is the floor... but if you manage to actually tip toe or wade your way to the desk and look around, there is a book that seems to be haphazardly hanging off the edge of the desktop. Picking it up, you note the different scrawls of all different kinds of penmanship within.

If you push a few other papers around, you can find at least a pen or a pencil if you want to write something of your own in there.
